The firm’s employment practice includes labor law representation, employment law counseling, and litigation of employment-related disputes. We represent a broad spectrum of employers in technology, manufacturing, real estate, retail, health care and service industries. Clients include established publicly traded companies with thousands of employees, emerging businesses, public agencies, state governments and small family-owned businesses. Our labor and employment attorneys work closely with clients throughout the Northwest to prevent liability and litigation by providing practical, preventative counseling on labor and employment issues. When litigation does arise, we provide our clients with a vigorous, thorough, well-reasoned defense that is aimed at achieving the best possible result.
Our strong labor law practice advises management on the negotiation, interpretation and administration of collective bargaining agreements. We represent management in arbitrations, grievances, and proceedings before the Oregon Employment Relations Board and National Labor Relations Board. We advise management on the particular requirements of investigations in a unionized workplace, as well as the entire range of labor issues that affect management on a daily basis, including management’s bargaining obligations, representation petitions, and unfair labor practice charges.
